Community land trusts are increasingly being recognized as the preferred approach to local community development initiatives. As a result, CLTs are finding themselves more and more in the news. Here is a partial list of recent publications highlighting CLTs across the country.
KnowledgePlex, in the August 3, 2005 edition of "Week in Review" hightlighted the new countywide CLT in Sarasota County, Florida. The newly-created Community Housing Trust of Sarasota County has plans to create 3,000 permanently affordable homes over the course of the next ten years - with the active support of the County, local city governments, employers and the business community, developers and nonprofit agencies.

In the January/February, 2002 issue (Issue #121) ShelterForce magazine published an article on CLTs, "Affordable Forever - Land Trusts Keep Housing Within Reach", by Winton Pitcoff.

In April 2005, LandLines, the newsletter published by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, published an article on CLTs, "Community Land Trusts: Leasing Land for Affordable Housing".

The June 22nd KnowledgePlex "Week in Review" highlighted an article, written by Tasha Harmon, describing what community land trusts and smart growth have in common and how proponents of each can work together to achieve similar goals.

On July 27, the Delaware Coast Press published an article highlighting two community land trusts in Delaware - the West Rehoboth Community Land Trust and a CLT in downstate Delaware being developed by the Delaware Housing Coalition and other partners.
