This chapter reviews the experience to date of CLTs in the United States in tackling five special topics including: variations in the type and tenure of the buildings that may be located on a CLT’s land; the role of CLTs in preserving the affordability of condominiums; variations in a CLT’s board of directors; donations of real estate to CLTs; and the assessment of local property taxes on a CLT’s lands and buildings.
