John Emmeus Davis

John Emmeus Davis was one of the co-founders of Burlington Associates in 1993. He previously served as the housing director and Enterprise Community coordinator for the City of Burlington, Vermont. He has worked as a community organizer and nonprofit executive director in East Tennessee and as a technical assistance provider for community land trusts and other nonprofit community development organizations throughout the United States. He is the author of Contested Ground: Collective Action and the Urban Neighborhood and The Affordable City: Toward a Third Sector Housing Policy and has taught housing policy and neighborhood planning at New Hampshire College and MIT.
